Oh, To Be Home.
An overnight adventure in the Colorado flattops. Another month spent camping my way through Iceland. Two weeks spent with my family and friends sailing, swimming, and surfing our way around Indonesia. It’s been one hell of a summer.
Just to stay still for awhile after two months of constant motion (a different place every few days) is a relief. I’ll be playing out the rest of my summer days behind a laptop, working through the many memory cards documenting my travels and reveling in the glory that is my couch.
Over the coming months I’ll be settling back in to life and school in Boston and blogging my way through each mountain peak and coral reef of the summer.
And while there’s nothing I need more right now than to stay put, something tells me I’ll be back to planning trips and dreaming of faraway cities any day now.
No one realizes how beautiful it is to travel until he comes home and rests his head on his old, familiar pillow.
